Welcome to Grand Isle. We hope
you enjoy your stay with us.
All of our properties are privately owned
and all items in the houses are the private property of the owners.
We appreciate the owners making their homes available for your use and we
ask that you respect their property.
Please
make sure that all members of your group are aware of this information so
that you can receive your full damage deposit back after departure..
Please note that we do not rent "party houses" to
fraternities, sororities, bachelor parties or other such groups.
Please respect this policy and do not cause a problem for yourself or us by
attempting to use one of our properties for this purpose, as it will not be
allowed. Your group will be asked to vacate the premises and there
will be no refund.
CHECK IN time is 3:00 pm.
Please do not arrive before check in as housekeeping needs to complete the
cleaning from previous guests.
NO EXCEPTIONS.
CHECK OUT
time is 11:00 am. Please
vacate property no later than 11 a.m. so that we can have it ready for the
next guests.
If you stay past 11 a.m., you will be
charged an additional night's rental.
NO EXCEPTIONS.
Pets:
No pets are allowed
unless it is a pet friendly location and you have pre arranged with
reservations to bring your pet. You are responsible for all damages
caused by your pet. Please do not try to hide pets anywhere on the
property including decks, vehicles, screened areas or indoors. If you
bring a pet to a "no pet" property, your group will be asked to
vacate the property immediately with no refund.
Smoking Policy:- No
smoking is allowed inside any of our properties. Please use the
outside porches and decks for smoking.
Please use an appropriate receptacle for cigarette butts. Do not
throw them on the decks, porches, lawns or grounds. An additional
fee will be charged for picking up cigarette butts.
Towels and Linens:
Towels are provided for bathing and are not to be taken to the beach or
used to wash boats, vehicles, etc. Linens, blankets, pillows,
mattresses and comforters are not to be taken to the beach or used
outside.
Furniture:
Please do not rearrange the furniture. Do not dismantle beds and
move them to other rooms. Do not take deck furniture off of the
property. If an umbrella is provided, please do not leave unattended
or use in windy weather.
Outdoor Areas: Outdoor
areas must be cleaned and returned to proper order prior to departure.
This is not included in your cleaning fee.
Fish cleaning areas are provided for your convenience and enjoyment.
Please dispose of fish heads, guts, etc. in a proper manner. They
may be placed in heavy trash bags, tied and placed in the garbage bins or
you can bury them across the beach levee (deep enough so that no one will
step on the fin or bone of a fish).
Do not
throw this material on the levee, streets or any other open area.
This is a violation of municipal law and could result in a fine. You
are responsible for cleaning all fish cleaning areas after each use.
Remove all seafood and fish scales and rinse all fish cleaning counters,
concrete, etc. with fresh water.
BBQ - Because of fire hazard, please use barbeque pits in open areas
only. No barbecuing is allowed on decks. After charcoal has
cooled, please remove charcoal from pit and discard in garbage bag.
Please clean grill after use.
Boiling seafood
- Because of fire hazard, please boil in open areas only. No boiling
is allowed on decks. Turn off propane tanks when finished boiling,
wash boil pots and pick up any trash, food, shrimp shells, etc.
Rinse tables, counters and concrete with fresh water. Return boil
pot, burner and propane to proper area.
If
outdoor areas are not cleaned, an appropriate amount will be deducted from
the security deposit.
No swimming pools or hot tubs are allowed on decks:
The decks are not designed to support the weight of water in a swimming
pool. This can create an extremely dangerous situation resulting in
damage to property and possible injury.
Neighboring Properties:
Please be considerate of neighbors and respect their property. Do
not park on their property or block their driveways. Do not use the
neighbor's dock for your boat. Do not use items from outside their
houses (tables, chairs, crab traps, fishing gear, etc.). Do not
empty charcoal or dump grease or boil water on their lawns. Please
use designated crossovers to get to the beach and do not cut through
private property. There is usually a right of way at the end of each
street to access the beach. Some of these rights of way are
maintained by the neighboring homeowners and appear to be part of their
property. However, they are public property. There are also
numerous cross walks with steps to the beach that are maintained by the
town. These are especially helpful for those who may have trouble
crossing the levee.
Occupancy:
The
person booking the rental must be staying at the camp for the duration of
the rental. A maximum occupancy is listed for each property.
This is the maximum number of people that may sleep in the house
overnight. Older children and teens are counted in this number.
Infants and toddlers do not have to be included in this number. You
are allowed to have a reasonable number of guests visiting the property
during the day, however, we do not allow large groups of extra guests and
large "yard party" situations. If the police are dispatched to the
house due to large groups of people or because of loud and disruptive
behavior, we reserve the right to deny occupancy to all members of your
group with no refund.
Mobile homes, campers, trailers:
Positively no mobile homes, campers, trailers, tents or any other type of
additional sleeping units are allowed on any of our properties.
There are facilities for rent on the island for these types of units.
Activities Not
Allowed
No
drinking by minors on property
No illegal drugs on property
No activity that would disturb neighbors
including rowdy behavior, public nudity, loud, drunken or other obnoxious
behavior
No swimming pools or hot tubs allowed on decks
No loud music after 10 p.m.
Garbage Collection: Pick
up days are Monday and Thursday. All garbage must be bagged, tied
and placed in the roadside bins. Do not throw loose garbage or trash
in the cans. Do not leave garbage in the trash cans under, around or
in the camp.
Restroom Rules: Grand
Isle houses have either septic tanks or waste treatment tanks. Do
not dispose of feminine products, baby wipes, paper towels or any other
items in the toilet. Soiled toilet tissue is the only thing that
should be flushed. Other items create problems that may cause
toilets to backup. Please dispose of other items in trash cans.
Maintenance:
We do our best to maintain properties and keep everything in proper
working condition. Please contact us if something is broken or needs
attention. If at all possible, it will be corrected during your stay
so that you will not be inconvenienced. Also, if something
accidentally gets broken, please let us know so that we can replace or
repair it prior to the arrival of the next guest.
Air Conditioning/Heating:
Do not set thermostats below 68 degrees on central air conditioning units.
Doing so may cause the units to freeze up and not cool at all. Upon
departure, during warm weather, central air conditioning should be set to
78 degrees and window units should be left on low. In cold weather,
please turn off all central heat and space heaters. Turn off lights
and lock all windows and doors. Please conserve energy by closing
doors and windows when air conditioning is in use.
